"Soul in G Major" - Knowing Self: Music and Emotions

Main Points:

  • Music defines the human species by turning sound into an intentional form of communication that promotes community unification and social cohesion

  • Music promotes a strengthening of the corpus callosum and overall integration of right and left brain to allow for a holistic experience

  • Music allows us to understand and encounter powerful feelings by stimulating personal memories, sustaining collective associations and furthering peak experiences
