"Alternate Dimensions and the Limitlessness of Space" - Museums as Spaces for Knowing

Museums offer public space for private reflection by giving visitors opportunities to engage with art while still permitting room for imagination and self-discovery

Museums facilitate understanding of others by bringing people together for a shared experience that is mediated by art

Museums encourage community interactions by presenting art that tells the stories of different artists and cultural groups to raise awareness, but also by offering much needed services (literacy, teen programs) to improve the welfare of underserved museum visitors
