"Do You Hear the People Sing?" - Knowing the World: Social Issues and Worldview

•      Creative arts increase our understanding of the world by making us aware of social issues and concerns

•      Social realism and socially responsible arts serves as social critique, depicting narratives and generate public dialogue

•      Arts function as nonviolent resistance when they focus on a message, engage an audience and promote imagination
